Born in Wheeling, WV( in the dark ages - 1951!) Lived there until September 1977 and moved to Port St.Lucie, FL. Lived there until August, 1978, then back to Wheeling until May 26, 2004 when I moved to Cedar Key. I have attended FBCCK since that date (it was a Wednesday and we went to church that night)
I started to work at C&P Telephone Company of WV, which later became Bell Atlantic, and eventually Verizon, from January 2, 1970 until retiring in November 2004. I had a leave of absence from August 1977 until about 1984 to care for Brian born in 1977 and Eric in 1981. During that time I also worked part time at Wheeling Hospital as the switchboard operator and in the insurance billing department. Then returned to the telephone company in 1984.
Eric moved to Cedar Key in 2002, and with another grandchild due in May 2004, I decided Cedar Key would now be my home and was able to take care of grandkids until they all went to school.
Then it was back to work, part time at CVS as a Pharmacy Technician for a few years. I think that was like 2009 - 2011.
Then Clerk at FBCCK July 2017 til Aug 2018. Treasurer/Secretary January 2018 to present. Children’s Sunday School teacher 2017 - present.
Was a member of Lava Avenue Baptist Church in Wheeling from 1985 I think, until moving here.
Spare time, hmmmm let’s see. I like to try new recipes, cross stitch and love reading and studying God’s Word and listening to (Christian)music.
